When you're playing four square you have three opponents to keep an eye on. Any one of them can be against you, any one of them can get you out.

Peter said “Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” Just think what that means. The Word you're giving us is the very thing that will take us out of our grave someday so that we can live forever in the mansions above in heaven.
We live in a world that is hostile to the Christian faith and there are real forces out there that try to destroy our faith in Christ. That's why St. Paul encourages us to walk like an Acrobat.
The key to managing all the things we can have in this life is to have them without possessing them. In other words to have them and use them and manage them, but don't let them take over our hearts to control our hearts and our lives.
Jesus has the power to calm even the raging weather. Jesus has the power to calm all the storms that we face in our lives as well.
As the year ends and a new one begins we sometimes step back to look at the big picture in our life. What do you see?
