Stories can be really interesting, and stories can be really compelling. But are they always true?
If you look in the mirror, what do you see? And when you enter a room, what do you bring?
Think about what you’re carrying. Think about what is heavy on your shoulders, on your mind, on your heart, and ask yourself, ask God, look to his Word, “Do I really need to carry all that?”
It feels like there’s something working against you. It's real.
The Bible verse I read this morning says that we’re gonna be judged by our works. What if I haven’t done enough?
Why do you obey God?
When everything is going wrong it can feel overwhelming. God sees you when you are in that low place and he actually wants to meet you there.
God can work good out of bad situations, but that doesn't mean he wants that bad situation to happen. The Bible tells us very clearly what God desires for us.
We tend to want God to show us the perfect choice, but that isn't how our relationship with God really works.
Sometimes we pray but we don't see God answering our prayer in the way we expect. In those moments we are often tempted to think God isn't providing for us and maybe we have to do things our own way.
There’s a scene in Joshua that I always find so fascinating when Joshua is leading God’s people into the Promised Land.
I need to be loved, but I want to be lovable.
