I know the way to heaven. Do you?

That’s not an arrogant claim on my part. In saying that, I am not claiming that I am good enough to get to heaven. No, I know myself better. I know the malevolence and evil that dwells within me. I know how I fall short of what I want every day let alone what God wants. And yet I know the way to heaven.

Jesus said in John Chapter 14:6:

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. (John 14:6)

I know the way to heaven because it’s not dependent on me. Many people think that you’ve got to be good enough to get to heaven. That if you just live the life that God desires then he’ll let him to heaven. God does reveal what he desires but can you keep it? Can you live a perfect life?

If you’re going to base getting into heaven on being good enough you’re not going to make it. No one is going to make it. But God sent Jesus to be good for you. To be good in your place so that a sinner like you and sinner like me can be with him in heaven.

Jesus is the Way. He has lived and died for you so that you can be with him in heaven. Peace be with you amen.
