1 Corinthians 15:6

How many people would it take to convince you that something really happened? Five? Ten? 15? 20? A hundred? What about five hundred?

In 1 Corinthians chapter 15 Paul is listing the physical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus. He lists the people that saw Jesus really alive. We read

After that he appeared to over five hundred brothers at the same time, most of whom are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:6)

Jesus appeared to five hundred people at the same time. Would you believe the testimony of five hundred people? God wants you to.

He wants you to know that Jesus died and rose again. So he recorded these things so that you could read them and believe them. Jesus rose again and because of his resurrection we have eternal life waiting for us in heaven.

So how many people would it take? Five hundred is enough. Jesus resurrection is true. Amen.
